Seeing is believing. Please take a look at the picture on the right side. It shows an experiment on skin penetration by giving the product a blue color marking for a better understanding of the way in which it is absorbed by the skin.
It shows the condition in which only one drop of the gel is applied without rubbing it in. Even so, a clear difference in penetrability can be recognized as compared with the case in which P-PComplex is not used. Technical explanations will be reserved for later. In a nutshell, P-PComplex is well absorbed into the skin because its structure is extremely similar to that of the cell membrane. Therefore, it penetrates into the skin smoothly while the skin does not get stickiness.
[P-PComplex] This is a base material for cosmetics using a combination of alginic acid and phosphate.
Gel matrix is formed when P-PComplex has penetrated. Gel matrix functions retaining the components penetrated into the skin. This is much like the case in which a disposable (paper) diaper absorbs water with gel formation so as to prevent its leaking out.
The gel matrix contains isoflavone as an acne improving component. It is an aglycon-type isoflavone which preferably features the more excellent penetrability. Isoflavone features a hormone-balancing function.. The cause of acne is excessive sebum. Sebum secretion is due to the action of the male hormone. Maintaining a favorable hormone balance eliminates the cause of acne.
The gel matrix sends the isoflavone deep into the skin.
The gel matrix has one more function which also captures and retains the water vaporizing from inside the skin through insensible perspiration (refer to explanation below).
R-essence functions in two ways: the attacking moisturizing and the protective moisturizing which retains water vapor. Gel matrix constitutes the "W-retained water molecules. Also added is sodium hyaluronate sodium which is readily absorbed in the gel matrix.

Isoflavone which may also be described as a plant –originated female hormone, has an anti-aging effective in females of the age group in which women start worrying about the receding female hormone secretion.
The main reason of the transition from initial comedo to inflamed acne is due to the "reactive oxygen" generated in the process of propionibacterium acne proliferation. The reactive oxygen may damage cells in the body when it increases more than the necessity. When damage is caused deep inside the skin, indentation and/or pigment deposition is most likely to occur.
"Vitamin C derivatives" and "EPC" which eliminate the reactive oxygen, the cause of inflammation comedo (blackhead), are added to the medical R-essence. The blend prevents the transition from white-head acne to red-head acne and recovers the damage.
Used as the "Vitamin C derivative" contained in medical R-essence is "3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid" which is described as "rapid-acting vitamin C." It is a new type Vitamin C derivative featured with excellent water solubility and stability.
It is also expected that 3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid may have, apart from its whitening action due to direct melanin suppression, also the effect of making the acne scar look nicer due to "its collagen synthesis promoting effect," similarly to isoflavone.
"EPC" is a combined material of vitamins E and C that possess not only the high antioxidant ability but also the effect "restraining the growth of propionibacterium acne" which cannot be recognized in the singular forms of vitamin C or E.
These effective ingredients support the strengthening of the acne curing effect of isoflavone which displays a female-hormone like effect.
